福士 則夫 FUKUSHI Norio

1945年東京に生まれる。1969年東京芸術大学大学院修了の年、5人で作曲グループ「白浪」を結成し本格的な作曲活動に入る。1972年文化庁芸術祭優秀賞受賞。翌年フランス政府給費留学生として渡仏。帰国後1977年演奏家・作曲家による団体であるアンサンブル「Vant d’Orient」を結成し1983年、同団体として第1回中島健蔵音楽賞受賞。1992年草津夏期国際音楽アカデミー&フェスティバルにおいて室内楽作品の個展開催。2004年、2019年にも東京文化会館にて個展開催。2003年には「室内オーケストラの領域Ⅲ」が第3回佐治敬三賞受賞。2008年チビテッラ・ラニエリ財団より招聘を受けレジデンスコンポーザーとして渡伊。2011年にはMusic from Japan(MFJ)の招聘により渡米しニューヨーク、ワシントンにおいて新作発表。主要作品はヨーロッパ圏をはじめとし北米、カナダ、アジアなどで演奏されている。これまで日本音楽コンクール審査員、日本現代音楽協会会長、日本音楽作家団体協議会副会長など歴任。CDはカメラータ・トウキョウ、フォンテック、作品は音楽之友社、全音楽譜出版社などから発売されている。日本現代音楽協会名誉会員、日仏現代音楽協会名誉顧問。

BIOGRAPHY
Born in Tokyo in 1945. In the year of 1969 graduation from Tokyo University of the Arts, he formed a composition group “Shiranami” with five people and started full-scale composition activities. Received the Excellence Award at the Agency for Cultural Affairs Arts Festival in 1972. The following year he traveled to France as a French government-sponsored international student. After returning to Japan, he formed the ensemble “Vant d’Orient” in 1977, which is a group of performers and composers, and in 1983, won the 1st Kenzo Nakajima Music Award. In 1992 he held a solo exhibition of chamber music works at the Kusatsu Summer International Music Academy & Festival. He held solo exhibitions at Tokyo Bunka Kaikan in 2004 and 2019. In 2003, “Chamber Orchestra Area III” won the 3rd Keizo Saji Award. In 2008 he was invited by the Civittera Ranieri Foundation to travel to Italy as a residence composer. In 2011, he traveled to the United States at the invitation of Music From Japan (MFJ) and premiered new work in New York and Washington. His major works have been performed in Europe, North America, Canada and Asia. He has served as a judge for Japan Music Competition, the chairperson of Japan Society for Contemporary Music, and the vice chairperson of Japan Federation of Authors and composers. His CDs are released by Camerata Tokyo and Fontech, and his works are released by Ongaku No Tomo Sha and Zen-On Music Publisher. Japan Society for Contemporary Music Honorary member, Association franco-japonaise de la Musique Contemporaine Honorary Advisor.
