奥田 也丸 OKUDA Aruma

1999年、神奈川県生まれ。日本大学藝術学部音楽学科声楽コース卒業後、同大学大学院博士前期課程声楽専攻を修了。「音楽の切断」をコンセプトに、声楽を含む室内楽作品を多く手がけている。近年は邦楽器を用いるなど、新しい編成の可能性を模索している。不規則で唐突に現れる休止やブレスを通じて、意図的に異化効果を生み出し、聴き手に新たな感覚の視座を提示するような作風を展開している。第41回現音作曲新人賞および全音賞受賞、奏楽堂日本歌曲コンクール第30回作曲部門入選。バリトン歌手としては、《魔笛》のパパゲーノ、《コジ・ファン・トゥッテ》のグリエルモなどを演じるほか、自作および他の作曲家による新作の初演も多数行っている。また、ジューリオ・カッチーニをはじめとするバロック時代の作品も得意としており、その影響は自作にも色濃く表れている。2025年4月現在、日本現代音楽協会ユース会員、ならびに二期会オペラ研修所研修生。

BIOGRAPHY
Born in Kanagawa, Japan, in 1999, OKUDA Aruma is a composer and baritone singer. He graduated from the Vocal Music Course of the Department of Music at Nihon University College of Art, and completed his master’s degree in vocal performance at the same university’s graduate school. His compositional work centers around the concept of “the disruption of music.” He frequently writes chamber music that incorporates the voice, and in recent years has explored new instrumental possibilities, including the use of traditional Japanese instruments. OKUDA’s works are characterized by irregular and abrupt pauses and breaths. These features are deliberately employed to produce an estrangement effect (also known as Verfremdungseffekt), inviting listeners to perceive music in a new and critical light. He received the 41st JSCM Award for Composers and the Zen-On Prize, and was a finalist in the 30th Sogakudo Japanese Art Song Composition Competition. As a baritone, he has performed roles such as Papageno in Die Zauberflöte and Guglielmo in Così fan tutte. He actively premieres new works, both his own and those of other composers. In addition, he is deeply engaged with Baroque music, particularly the works of Giulio Caccini, whose influence is often reflected in his compositions. As of April 2025, OKUDA is a Youth Member of the Japan Society for Contemporary Music and a trainee at the Nikikai Opera Training Institute.
